Saturday Part 4

The ride back to Accra - some general notes:

Some pavement - some mud.

Two lane highway through the jungle - no center line - LOTS of oncoming trucks!

Toll booth in the middle of nowhere - I mean in the middle of NOWHERE.

Pavement gives way to construction (several times) - oncoming traffic becomes two schools of bright eyed fish converging on one another.  It was llike a Jaques Cosuteau show filmed at the darkest depths of the ocean with all these bright lighted creatures swimming around the camera.

Trucks broken down from not being to negotiate the non-paved parts of the highway.

Hope our driver passes the truck full of lumber wide enough - based on the trucks of lumber we saw earlier in the day that dumped their loads on the highway.

Police check point.

Really a tour bus is out in all of this slipping and sliding in the mud?

For 3.5 hours - no one in the car slept, spoke, of really moved.

Sammy & Kammi our drivers - ARE THE BEST!
